Mami Licho, te extraño.

Together, every summer, my Tia Tere (Mami Licho's sister) and I, Jess Murray (maker/big cheese behind Aegis Handcraft) spend countless amounts of hours, perched at her kitchen table in Guadalajara , Mexico, elbows deep in all sorts of crafty goodness. And so Mami Licho, as a brand, is brought to you as a way to justify all of the hours we spend crafting and gossiping, usually about all the fond memories we have of my grandmother, Mami Licho.
As the beautiful soul she was, Mami Licho, lives deep in my heart. She was the type of woman that loved with all her being, and was ridiculously brave, intelligent, creative and courageous. The kind I woman I hope to be when I grown up. My only hope is sharing these one of a kind pieces, my Tia Tere and I make, is keep these beautiful memories we have of Mami Licho alive, and support of craft making habits.
